of the effects of a divorce occurring when a child.

(B) occurring when children
(C) that occurred when a child
(D) that occurred when they were children
(E) that has occurred as each was a child

答案（D）。E选项不懂那里错。
就是OG10的第一题。搜了之前论坛里的讨论，基本都在谈as和when的区别问题。但是现在OG自己改了对E的解析，没提as/when了，变成了：E Each does not agree with men and women; has occurred is not the correct verb tense.
each为什么不能指men and women？发生在过去影响一直持续到现在，为什么不能用完成时？

E的问题
1、has occurred表示现在还在occur，时态错误
2、as在这里有歧义，表示a divorce that occurred as something；或者as可以表示因为；所以不如when
3、each指代不明，each什么？

现在完成时这个句子就绝对不能用吗？随便举一个OG的正确句子Aproposal has been made to trim the horns from rhinoceroses to discourage poachers; the question iswhether tourists will continue to visit game parks to see rhinoceroses once the animals' horns have been trimmed. 总不是表示一直在trim吧
as表示当...的时候也有正确句子的例子，而且这句后面明明是个从句怎么可能歧义成occurred as something。不过看前人讨论as前面好像最好是延续性的动词不能是occur这种瞬间动词，但是OG上专门把关于as的这个错误的解析删掉了，大概说明这现在也不是不能接受的错误

你举的例子是proposal has been made, 完成时的动词是make，跟to trim有什么关系？

E的时态使用不当。when引导的时间状语从句表示伴随主句一同发生的一件事。比如D选项中divorce occurred 和 they were children是同时发生的。
如果先用each was a child，再用divorce has occurred，那么这两个动作就有时间上的先后顺序了。was a child在前，divorce has occurred在后，逻辑上似乎不对。
你举的例子中从句是条件状语从句，一般都是先满足某个条件（发生一件事），之后主句的动作才发生。你看看例子中是不是条件状语从句先“Trim”，之后tourists才来看？
