(A) compared to those that can be detected


(B) compared to those they can detect


(C) than that can be detected


(D) than those that can be detectedD


(E) than those detecting



选项D those 指代的是other sources吗?但 fainter 比较的是light啊?是什么能被detected,sources 还是light?

5个选项里只有D好些. 比较的是sources, detected是sources.

Once positioned in space, the Hubble Space Telescope will capture light from sources twenty times fainter than those(light) that can be detected by ground-based instruments(which can capture light from sources at regular distance).

有时添一下就明白了.
