I think A is correct. e 很明显不一致，instead 前面说通过太阳获取热量，后面应该是“通过什么获取热量”e的语义是身体热量通过消耗卡路里产生，明显不一致；

而d for generating it 不对，do sth. for doing 表示同时进行的两个动作，正确语义是 消耗卡路里以产生热量，不能说一边消耗卡路里一边产生热量
