Just personal opinion. Even you could get a 700+ score in Gmat now, to be frank, the possibility of getting a top MBA's offer is very low with only 2 years government working experience. On the other hand, even you are lucky enough to get an offer, without corporate experience, the gain from the MBA study will be discounted undoubtly. From my understanding, the more experienced you are, the more you will get from your MBA study. Different level of people will definitly get different return even in the same classroom listening to the same professor's lecture. Think about it. The MBA education may be the most critical and probably the last formal degree education you will get in your life(Personaly I don't think it is a good idea to go on pursuing PHD after MBA unless you wanna do academic research work or be a professor in a b-school). So why don't you just give yourself more time to think about why MBA and when MBA. At the sam time, try to do more preparation work for it. Here the preparation includes many things, e.g. enough qualified working experience, deeper understanding of the society and the corporate business world. So my suggestion is: a, just accept the work offer from the foreign company you mentioned and be prepared to work there for at leat 2 years. Try to be excel in your first corporate job which is essential for your MBA application. b, start your master's education in your spare time and try to get the degree within 3 years if you really cares about the master degreee. c, prepare for the gmat test when you are relatively free. d, during these 2 to 3 years, think about your long term career goal and deepen your understanding of the society and the business world. e, now you could start to apply for your ideal b-school. Good luck |
