CD犹豫了一下还是选错了，想问一下关于现在分词的问题，我印象里面大部分的都是：句子，ing分词。 ing分词修饰的前面句子的动词表示结果或者伴随之类的。
这个题里面circling 不会去修饰astronomers吗？因为most of them blabla是插入吧。
求解答

是选C吗？
我记得有说句尾的ving好像修饰preceding结构而不一定是修饰主句，请专家考证一下。

1. 首先说下楼主错选的D:
（1） “......n，which 定语从句，” 定语从句是就近修饰前面的名词的。所以在这里，D选项，circle的动作发出者就变成了前面的Jupiter. 而根据原文的意思，这些more than 80 massive planets, 就是那个“them"发出了这个动作。
（2） mostly at least as....., 这句是独立主格吧。就是most of them 是前面的massive planets的独立主格。...名词，名词＋修饰结构。如果直接加mostly at least as......., 没有主语了啊，至少得有个代词或者是重复前面的名词构成独立主格呀。

2." -, -ing" 的情况的分析。－ing在这里是伴随状况状语。伴随独立主格中的most of them.这样在这一独立主格层次中应该是追随这一层次的核心主语吧，就是most of them

第24页，－ing“伴随的含义是：‘一个主语发出两个动作或一个主语处于两种状态，或一个主语发出一个动作时又伴随有某一种状态。伴随状语的逻辑主语必须是主句的主语，伴随状语与谓语动作所表示的动作或状态是同时发生的。’伴随状语可以和主句具有同时发生、因果、同种状态等关系“
