这道题答案是A。我参考了CD之前的关于这道题的帖子，明白这里面what是指代communal ownership of land，最后面to what...实际上是同位语从句。但是我想请问下为什么这里面要用what作为一个这么奇怪的同位语结构呢？为什么不可以把what变为which，这样可以理解为非限定性定语从句啊，which同样可以指代communal ownership of land。另外E有什么错误呢？that可以作为限定性定语从句修饰communal ownership of land的啊？请牛牛多多指教哦：）

不是nn，但是in which 和 that 会不会就近指代land 呢？
老实说，in which 和 that 也有时候可以跳跃修饰 N1 of N2 中的N1 的，这个不是很懂

个人拙见，what从句就相当于一个名词，所以to what从句与前边的to communual ownership of land形成标准的平行对称。that，which或in which引导的定语从句相当于一个形容词来修饰前行词，语法上DE我觉的都没绝对错误，但逻辑意思不完美，比如……return to communual ownership of land that had been a pre-Columbian form of ownership respected by the Spaniards，这就说communual ownership过去是a pre－Columbian form of ownership，感觉不是很正确。

E逻辑意思不对 land不能是一种form of ownership

同位语what 在这里相当于a ownership that 改称which 引导定语从句是可以的
