Some feedback from Columbia Marketing Ph.D Program

Just got some feedback from Columbia after I sent an email to a professor for status update. My interpretation of the message is

1) They are going to take in 4 guys this year.

2) They have narrowed down the selection of applicants to a small group of candidates from over 100+ applications.

3) From the tune of the email, it looks like they may have probably identified some top candidates, and are going to take action for next step (interview? or issue offer directly? I am not sure). I may probably be on the waiting list.

Anybody received interview invitation?

do u have any news from other schools? I've also applied phd of marketing in several schools in the states this year (not include columbia), yet there is not any feedback till now.

yegawo, thanks. Yes. I applied a few marketing programs as well as some OM programs. I have not heard any news from other marketing programs. Let me know if you have any news. So do I. Best luck
