Why "those" is not correct, is it because there should be a plural noun? What's "so that" mean, and how to use this phrase?

How to revise? "Such" -> "as"?

我是这样理解的：若those在这里做代词这和 diversity重复，若做adj这应是those diversities。

so that +完整句=in order that

It is said that no potential frontier has such fired
the imagination or challenged the ingenuity of
humankind as has space.

是否定句，应是such--->so
