首先B后面的salt would crystallize和后面的fungus was growing不平行；

其次its错误，chambers是复数；

再次，had exhaled时态错误；

但E的them 有可能指代 tourists的歧异啊?

指代优先指代主句的主语。这里的within them很清楚只能是chambers,不可能是within tourists。不会产生歧义。说指代的歧义是说前面几个名词你分不清楚指代哪个。如果逻辑意思清晰，你能很清楚知道指代的是谁，就不是歧义啦。
