这道题选D没问题，我想问的是关于 twice as much as 的用法，之前的prep笔记中提到
If the noun in question is already anexplicitly numerical quantity, then you should useneither"much" nor "many". Instead, you should just use "twice" or "double" by itself.
e.g.,twice the increase--> "increase" is an explicitly numerical quantity
twice as much water--> correct, since "water" is an uncountable noun (but is not an explicitly numerical quantity)
twice the water...--> incorrect, since water is not a numerical quantity
twice as much as the increase...--> incorrect; redundant
twice the increase...--> correct

所以关于这道题的分析中，语法笔记并没有讲A B C中as much as 多余，但我觉得后面比较的内容是amount of pullutant,所以as much as是不应该加的。不知道我的理解有没有问题？求大家拍砖！！

（1）amount number 不能用many，much修饰，应该是great，large
（2）twice as many /much 是同位语修饰，不能离其修饰的词太远。
这两点都错了~

ps，同大四，错过各种聚会，旅行，照相。。

恩恩了啦，看语法笔记好多关于比较的总结，有点混乱了，要自己总结下才行。

嗯、你这么想是对的、就相当于把本题的amount of pollutant看成是prep例子中的increase
但是我有时候不知道怎么分辨哪些是a numerical quantity,有没有什么好办法？
