ü have looked and have seen. Have does not need to be repeated in the second verb; it is entirely correct simply to let it be understood. Visitors to the park have often looked up into the leafy canopy and seen monkeys sleeping on the branches, with arms and legs hanging like socks on a clothesline.
这里Manhattan的意思是说have..and have..第二个助动词是可以省略的是吧?
另外下面的这个例子中with arms and legs hanging like socks on a clothesline.是作为状语修饰前面分句的主语,但是前面分句的主语是visitors,不符合原意。。有点不明白
