感到不解的解析：
raising做伴随状语，前面可以while表转折；如果是原因伴随，可以加thus, thereby，in effect等副词

我的疑问：

n. 一会儿；一段时间
vt. 消磨；轻松地度过

没有副词词性，如何修饰后面的raising production efficiency in various industries？

2做状语前面不是应该加逗号吗？不加逗号则为定语

状语从句的省略

Recently implemented "shift-workequations" based on studies of the human sleep cycle have reducedsickness, sleeping on the job, and fatigue among shift workers while (shift-work equations are) raising productionefficiency in various industries.

同一主语，从句谓语动词为be

省略了相同的主语和be动词

记得与非谓语动词可以有连词，还说叫带有连词的分词从句。

这是GMAT考试，不是国内的英语考试，最好用native的方式思考，你会省力得多。

简化这句话："shift-work equations" have reduced sickness, sleeping on the job, and fatigue.
然后看while raising production efficiency in various industries 逻辑主语是什么？equations还是workers？
从语义上很清楚地知道是equations，整句话的意思就是shift-work equations很牛逼啊！所以这里的while就是中学里学的when／ while的while。
那么为啥不用when，while有个特性强调同时，2个动作一起发生，也就是句子里reduce和raise一起发生的意思，又再次强调了shift-work equations很牛逼啊！
另外，OG里面没有规定while一定要加逗号，你那是中学老师说的，可惜他不考gmat！
那么这里还原完整的句子：while shift-work equations are raising ...... 或者 while shift-work equations raises ...... 或者..... who knows! 问作者去！
所以不一定省略了be动词的。
