【求助】商科背景想申金融工程/数学Mater可以通过考GRE-Math证明数学能力吗？

跪求CD上的牛人们帮忙掂量一下~
楼主想继续在金融领域深造，但是本科背景偏文（金融和国际贸易)，看金融工程专业的学校（dreamschool是U of Toronto的MMF，比较偏向留在加拿大) 喜欢招收数学,工程等专业的学生，所以主要有两个问题：
1. 即如题，可不可以通过考GRE Math sub来补习欠缺的数学课程也向学校证明数学能力？---（虽然自从楼主看了Math Sub的考试范围之后骚微忧伤，觉得Mission Impossible....)
2. 这个转专业值不值得？
楼主也想申MSF啊，可是楼主想在加拿大工作几年拿个身份啊，可是加拿大尼玛一共也没几个排进世界前五十的大学啊，蓝后好大学里好像只有U of Toronto的这个项目和金融沾边不需要工作经验啊...
楼主在linkedin上粗略看了一下从这个项目出来的人，工作还都蛮牛的。

楼主另一条路就是先工作几年再试试其他的MSF。但是觉得本科要想在加拿大从事金融只能从银行柜员干起了。

废话略多，但是楼主现在真的很迷茫，觉得这个决定还挺孤注一掷的，毕竟Math Sub 需要准备的时间不少，能不能申请上还有其他因素，所以来到这个牛人云集的CD上听听大家的建议，先谢了！

P.S. 樓主缺的其實不只是一個數學能力的證明，更是一個數學能力的沉浸……
相關乎是理解證明，模型推導，和相關編程的能力……而MFE的相關工作不少都是技術性工作……

谢谢回复！刚毕业想一边准备着一边积累点工作经验申明年。觉得你说的很有道理要是学校也这么想希望就更渺茫了TT

正常較mathematical的MFE都寫明要有那幾門數學課的

这个没有列举课程只是说需要了解哪些知识，我看这些知识点也都在math-sub里，不知道之前有没有非理工科的学生这样申请成功过。我还是明天给他们发个邮件问问

MATH -SUB 对美国院校来说绝对有用如果楼主有精力的话建议考一下
加拿大学校对这个的看重程度就不知道了 GL!

To me,
the GRE math test is a tool to measure the ablitily of math of the applicant for maths student, sincs grades are not 100% reliable as different uni have different grading.
but even if a art student have a good grade by 操練，i t doesnt means his math and analytical skills are already up to level - that takes some formal training and takes time. thats indeed a shift in mindset, but not only the ablitily of doing computation. Be honest that quite some math student themselves dont pass this process successfully and leave with a not-that-good result.

To me, toronto mmf had shown their list of course requirement quite explicitly. Each technical term (especially in the math series) have a sepecified course behind .Not to mention the fact that Canada concern much more about fit of background that US/UK.
But definitly it worth to ask the admission officer for their answer: what i said is all rubbish as long as they think in other way.
To me, i do consider some online source of certification maybe more useful, since gre math is one exam for too board stuffs…not to mention that preparation that many hard and abstract stuffs one year part time is extremely difficult.
