另外是不是GMAC不喜欢所有with的用法呢~貌似遇到的with选项都是错误的

Shopping for a Better World is the book name, therefore whose thesis means the book's thesis.

I also got a feeling that the phrase of "with", especially complicated one, is not prefered in Gmat, personal opinion.

“with” choices are frequently eliminated because of other errors

there is not such preference

be cautious to study SC's rule

你这么理解就错了！正好不偏不倚掉到GMAC挖的坑里。
In 1988, the Council on Economic Priorities began publishing Shopping for a Better World with a simple thesis-- consumers have the power to change
这么改完with a simple thesis的“逻辑主语”就变成“ the Council”,不是the Council有这么一个simple thesis，而是这本书有这么一个simple thesis。
所以选E, whose thesis was simple。这里whose指代的是 Shopping for a Better World这本书。
翻译为：1988年经济优先协会开始发行《Shopping for a Better World》，这本书的论点很简单：...

所以，这道题只能用whose，只要用with的都错，因为改变了逻辑意思。

In 1988, the Council on Economic Priorities began publishing Shopping for a Better World with a simple thesis-- consumers have the power to change.

please note, in above sentence, with a simple thesis is the preposition modifier that modifies
SHOPPING FOR A BETTER WORLD.
if I add a ， before with a simple thesis, then you can understand that it is adverb modifer, and the logic subject is THE COUNCIL.
I think the preposition phrase is quite flexible, could be adjective, adverb, depending where you put it.

不是很认同你的观点，你只说了：这个是介词，那个是副词，但是没有原因，也没有举例。这样只能说是你个人的理解。
你说,with sth才能是副词是吧？请看下面的句子：
I send her back home with a good wish.
I dumped my girlfriend with compunction.
I say goodbye to you with a kiss.
没有任何一个有逗号在with之前，请问哪个with修饰了前面的名词？哪一个with a good wish/ compunction/ a kiss不是主语I 发出的？

Thanks, sounds true. Most with phrase is adverbal,

when I say " Better World with a simple thesis, I meant to let with a simple thesis to modify the book placed in fornt of it. Maybe you would understand that it is modify the verb.

in any case, true, prepositional phrase is used a lot as adverbal..

and it has exception, so not so surprised..

Are you with me now ? WITH ME here is the predicate.
