我纠结的E选项的解释。语法笔记中说：while多余，因为后面的others as religious havens中没有谓语动词，while必须省略（如果有谓语动词则不能省，如Some cleaned the windows，while others mopped the floor. ）这里while不能用于省略形式吗？比如像although一样的省略？比如这个句子对不对：While sad，I ate a lot. 另外英汉词典上有这么一个例句： I waited in the car while idling the engine. 这里while不就是用了省略形式吗？
请问，是语法笔记错了吗？

这里为什么though后面的省略形式中，表示被动的BE动词被省掉了？
因为语法笔记中说although的省略形式要求：1.谓语动词是be（不表被动）2.逻辑助于是主句主语。
那么就是说though省略和although的省略规则不一样？
