这道题我觉得应该选D。
A肯定错，and making没有跟他并列的成分。
B语法没错，但是逻辑意思有误：更安全的安全气囊消除了当气囊充气式会冒出的一股烟的可能性，以至于他（气囊）让吓SB了的乘客误以为车着火了。都”消除了“还误以为个P
C 与and made并列的往前找，只能是eliminated，语法没错，逻辑意思还是错的：大概意思基本同B的翻译。都”消除了“还误以为个P
D正确。与and make并列的是 would appear 中的appear，would appear...and make...，逻辑意思也正确。更安全的安全气囊消除了当气囊充气式会冒出的一股烟并会让乘客误以为车着火了的可能性。
E逻辑意思有误：to make an already terrified passenger think the car was on fire感觉像是inflated的目的：气囊充气的目的是为了让乘客以为自己要自焚了？
