请教高手关于That be/who be

请教高手，XDF曾经很绝绝的说That is出现通常都是错的，但是经过反复的时间，包括OG和PREP，对that be什么时候可以省略产生了非常大的困惑，是否有遇到同样问题的选手一起探讨一下。

A. Jazz pianistand composer Thelonious Monk produced a body of work that was rooted 是正确的，我想知道为何不能是TM produced a body of work rooted in XX Tradition 是因为如果变成这里That 也可以理解成Root的宾语，为什么就可以。

再比如 huge gas spheres that are estimated…常表达为huge gas spheres estimated…

有没有什么要领，我一直没有太领悟这一点。

为什么这一题目中的 that is 反而是多余的？
