北美申请迷茫中，求各位兄弟姐妹解惑指点打气

之前曾经发过类似的帖子，不过貌似沉了，所以新开一帖。

老调重弹一下自己的背景：美国本科PURDUE毕业，读的是 Agricultural Finance这个专业，读本科的时候过的很颓废，基本就是混吃等死，最后拿了个2.48的GPA，勉强毕业。毕业后因为惨不忍睹的GPA在美国没找到工作，回了国。先去了一家上市公司做CFO助理，然后出来自己捣腾创业，最后失败告终。

最近考了一次GMAT拿了760分+8分IR+6分作文，想去好学校但是总是觉得自己的GPA和工作经历都很失败，所以非常迷茫，想请各位CD上的兄弟姐妹解惑指点打气

honestly you need to work on your story, explain the GPA and convince schools why do you want an MBA? Can you convince me? How many yrs of experience do you have?

That said if you have a convincing story and strong recommendations, why not apply for top 15?

Hey dude,
It sounds like you have a very interesting but very complicated story. You have a poor GPA but a fantastic GMAT! And a great job as CFO of a firm that went public, but then a failed startup. The first thing I would say is important is to figure out how this can all fit together to make sense. What do you want to do in the future? Why are you applying to Bschool? And where? If you can tie it all together and make your startup venture sound great and exciting (even if it failed, it can be a great accomplishment) then you should have a good shot.

Thank you for your reply. I think you may have misunderstood one thing that I was an assistant to CFO, not CFO. I didn't do much important work there. This job really frustrated me since I didn't really learn much from this and that's why I went out and try to start my own career.
