这里的d 如果改成is the nation's third leading cause of death, surpassed only 就正确了呢? 这里的rank 会不会是多余的><

我觉得不可以首先：单数确定其次：diabetes是物质不是 cause 这个东西 Dia只能是作为原因不能等同于原因

恩，第一点我知道，第二点cause的那个用法有点木有看懂，大概我有点钻牛角尖了><

就是说Diabetes（糖尿病) 它不能是原因它只能作为原因比如：苹果是水果但不能说苹果是原因这在OG上有个题，说有一个著名的女艺术家培养了generations of actors which include马龙白兰度+施瓦辛格这里就是错误的因为：因为which 修饰generations 但是generations 不能等同于人所以换成了whose rank as+人

谢谢你好像是有点明白了，可是后面的例子如果是 comma +which 为什么不是就近限定 actors 的呢?是不是因为这里的中心词是generation，所以跳跃指代了，是不是凡是这样的AofB结构都必须要，或这是可以跳跃指代呢？><

是这样的你要记住 which都是就近修饰名词有一个例外就是A of B 在这里which 修饰A 而不是B 这是一个语法点曼哈顿语法里有
