OG对A的解释是：the phrase and, the result, is introduces a new clause which indicates that children's inability to distinguish sound enables them to make sense of speech.
但我理解的是the result is it hampers children‘s ability to make sense...与OG刚好反着==
还有，如果A的the result is是这么解释的话，那为什么B的as a result没关系呢？
求大牛解答！！

A中; 句子的并列，and 后自成一句the results就是前边的结果，结果就是……。
B中； as a results 是插入语可以去掉，所以后来的不定式其实是和前边的并列，所以 as a results是表明它并列的逻辑。

请问大神，D选项不可以看成是hampers和results 并列吗？而OG的解释：....removing the children from the picture as the ones who are affects是什么意思呢？

我明白你只是这半句话不理解，但是你只贴上来这半句话别人也没有办法理解。
问问题的时候最好给别人提供尽可能的方便。
我在网上找到了这句话；
This version of the sentence nonsensically suggests that the pace of speech results in not making sense ofspeech, removing the children from the picture as the ones who are affected.
它的意思是；Because the sentence removed the children (who are affected) from the picture, it nonsensically means that ……
picture就是指的in not making，making没有了逻辑上的主语
