比较主语是应该补谓语，但是我看过好几个不补的。

不补的是因为没有宾语,所以不会造成歧义

像     I am older than you.

注意一下这里的pollutants是介词of的宾语。如果要让本句产生歧意的话，后面的应该变成than of those...

因为后面没有of, 本句即使不加do也不会有歧意。

(C)    比较对象为gasoline or diesel fuel，少了by

(D)    这里并没有动词的比较---不会出现does

(E)     完整

than后面有代词,且代词指代明确的情况下,一般就可以省略谓语
