最近在看姐姐推荐的Foundations of GMAT Verbal,看到P67一句话,总觉得主谓不一致,为什么后半句的谓语是is不是are???
请大家帮忙解惑,感激不尽!!!
To run with the wolves on thirty consecutive cold winter mornings in Minsk, Belarus, is to truely strenghen your spirit in just one month; to drink nothing but cold moutain water and eat nothing but goat meat for thirty days in any of the former Soviet republics is to truely strenghen your character in a similarly spartan manner.
我是这样想的:
主语:to drink nothing but cold moutain water and eat nothing but goat meat
因为to drink nothing but cold mountain 和 (to) eat nothing but goat meat 是平行的,也就是A and B,所以谓语应该是are.
to drink nothing but cold moutain water and eat nothing but goat meat for thirty days in any of the former Soviet republics is to truely strenghen your character in a similarly spartan manner.
to..... is to.....
我觉得应该这样看 to (drink nothing but cold moutain water and eat nothing but goat meat) 括号里的是一个平行结构,整个在to 结构里面~你觉得呢~

这个,,如果这里改一下:
to drink nothing but cold moutain water and to eat nothing but goat meat for thirty days in any of the former Soviet republics is( here should be are) to truely strenghen your character in a similarly spartan manner.
