提问：一个句子里几个时态之间见的关系

（其实这里错误似乎不是时态的问题，而是that 应该修饰整个Nearly 99 percent of five hundred million different species）

问题：一个句子里多个时态之间是不是会相互影响的？

我一直对一个句子里出现的多个时态不是很能理解。以上的这些句子，我总觉的多个时态之间是不互相影响的。
但是，I Assumed that 。。。。that这个从句肯定都是过去的某种时态。时态又是有影响的。

后来发现一些这些句子的时态集和I assumed that 。。。的时态集是不一样的。这些句子的时态是：一个是主句的时态，一个是宾语定语从句的时态。而，定语从句的时态与主语的时态没有关系。此时的定语从句是为了补充宾语的某些内容，已经和主句没有什么关系的。比如：

I made a cake two years ago.
如果我要接着补充一些关于cake的信息的时候，就和主句的时态没有关系了。比如，我会说
I made two years ago a cake, which has been stored in the fridge ever since.

我还有一种感觉就是GMAC似乎有意回避完成式的effect is still true 这样的用法。出现现在完成式的句子都是出现明显的时间跨度，也就是说这些现在完成式都是在表示一种持续的状态。

按照我上面的总结，这里的the school was destroyed by the earthquake 应该决定着主句的时态。在第一个句子里，that clause就是定义了是哪个school. 作者将自己认识重点放在built上，之后可能会说建筑的过程。在第二个句子理解，就能很明显的感受到一个时间前后顺序。前是建造，后是被毁。作者将重点放在了 the school that was destroyed by the earthquake。之后，他可能会讲destruction.

She was playing well with friend when babysitter arrived. correct
She played well with friend when babysitter arrived. correct.
这两个句子也是正确的. 第一个句子句子中心放在when babysitter arrived这里。整句话的意思是说她整合朋友玩着呢，这时保姆来了。第二句句子主语动作和时间状语动作同等重要， action played well with friends 发生在 the action arrived之后。
