Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should spend more money on improving facilities than on hiring famous professors.
(eg. labs and general equipment)

As for the importance between facilities of University and professors, I do not think the facilities are greater important
than professors. So I think University should spend more money on hiring famous professores than on improving
facilities.Nowadays, a wise mind is the most expensive issue in the morden knowledge world. The talent humman
sources are the unstopped adventure which can push the development on the further for University and even the
society. That is, if a University spend more on famous professor, they will gain a more high quanlity students, nice
research issues and abundant support funding which is wonderful for University.
Every University want to make himself powerful, and the students, as we know, are the core power of the University.
The quility of the students devide the level of the University, and the good students are educated by responsible and
wise professors. If the University like to spend more on employing famous professors, it will get more excellent
students. Moreover, the excellent students will make good influence in their working position and then attract more
other students source to apply the University. So, the famous professors' advantage is obviously. For example, in my
local University, the business apartment have some famous professor in Accountiing, so their Accounting students are
welcome to some big four company. So many high school students who want to take Accounting career will primily
think this University as their dream school.
On the other way, a University also need good research issue in vary academic apartment especially in the research
University. A famous professors not only infulence their students to reach the high level but also put themselves to the
further research achivements. When a partment have some famous professors, it will form a nice research
environment which can lead the whole aparment researches to develop. For example, I know one University invited a
famous professor as leader. The famous professor was so excellent that he applied an abundant funding for their
research courses. Obviously, base on the implying funding and the power leader, they have a good condition to make
their researches.
As a result, combinding the above advantages of excellent students and good researches, a University can make their famous
in the society. Of course, these issues also respond the support funding to the University, and then the University can spend
these money to hire more famous professors to improving their qualities. That is the nice cycology for a educational instistitions.
We know some excellent Universities for instance Yellow, Hawwad and MIT which recevied considerable support funding form
their successful students and excellent research issues. They continute to cycle these money to improving their educational
condition and culture more successful students and researches.
Above all, we can clearly find the advantage of spending more money on famous professors. In that way, we can get more
excellent students who can attract other students source, estabilish a nice research environment for improving more
successful researches and make more supported funding form the society. All of them is vital important for an University.
I know somebody say the general equipment is also important. Well, the equipment is just necessary but not more
important than the humman source. So you can see many University trend to spend more money on attract famous professors. |
