Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Itis more important for schools to fund their students’ social activities than toimprove students’ meals. Have you ever bored with the dull studyin the school? Have you ever dreamed of the colorful life in university when wewere in high schools? Have you ever expected to join in amounts of socialactivities to broaden our eyes, improve our social abilities, and make friendswho are in the same camp? All of these cannot be achieved, only if schoolsconcentrate on students’ meals instead on the establishment of socialactivities. So I totally stand for the first decision. First and foremost, social abilities areable to let students suit the society early. This ability is a best way tochange nowadays phenomenon that college students are too pure to work aftergraduation because of lacking social abilities. As far as I’m concerned, schoolsin America really set a good example for us because they think highly of socialactivities in schools. For example, we definitely have seen many of Americanseries and we can see that in schools students’ daily life, social activities, such as classmate party, club events, and some spontaneous dating take up theiralmost half the time in everyday. A popular series named broke girls shows thisphenomenon in America a lot. One of two girls is graduated from TheUniversity of Pennsylvania Wharton School and inthe past her life is wealthy but after some changes she has to work in a restaurantas a waitress. However, in this restaurant, she does a very good job and getsalong very well with customers because in college she participated in a lot ofsocial activities, knowing how to get along with people. Her mature attitudetowards the world and life really touches me. That’s what I think that china isdeficient in. Furthermore, with the increasing competitionfilled in our society, knowledge is no longer a pivot, a key to success, anymore and social skills now are gradually playing an important role for us tooutshine among the contemporary. A prominent way for us to acquire this skillis school, a place can offer us the opportunity to participate various activities.Once I heard a survey made by a international company. This company chose someemployees in different countries to take role in a test, letting each of themcomplete a research among ranges of people and use different ways as far as youcould to attain what you wanted. It’s a task can reflect one’s social skills tocommunicate with strange people. Everyone can conclude the outcome, Americansand Europeans reach their goals quickly and perfectly and Chinese and Japanese inthe end completed only one third of the task. I hold the view that this examplegives us an important inspiration that joining in social activities in schoolsis essential. Admittedly, meals also are essential forstudents’ life. But many students now more prefer to eat outside and thereforeschools don’t need to invest in canteen to improve the quality of meals.Furthermore, the advantages of founding social activities outweigh theadvantages of enhancing students’ meals.
