出自白勇语法上的一道题，不是很理解，求牛牛们帮忙看一下：
The lawyer for the defense charged that she suspected the police of having illegally taped her confidential conversations with her client and then used the information obtaind to find evidence supporting their murder charges.
正确选项是： of using the information they had obtained to find evidence that would support.
不明白的地方是：为啥supporting不对呢要把它变成成that的从句呀？？
还有就是翻译上的一点问题：the police of having illegally taped her confidential conversations with her client 这个结构感觉好奇怪，倒是理解了意思,疑惑的地方就在于如果我要把这句话改成who引导的定语从句，那种方式更好一些呢？？

supporting要作为定语有一点很重要，那就是时态一定要和前面谓语动词相一致。所以这里，SUPPORT时态上显然无法与had obtained 一致，所以这里应用从句。

不建议LZ去改动句子，不理解原句意义，不是母语，改出来的东西必定很怪，而且，这是选择题，只要在各项中选个最好的答案就可以了。
