一道v-ing 题目求大神解释一下

各位大神好，

请教个问题，今天在看Manhattan 8th,对以下标注为right的句子不是很理解。
Right: Crime has recently decreased in our neighborhood, leading to a rise in property values.
按照之前RON和其他资料的定义， Ving modifier 必须在如下情况满足的时候，才是对的
1. it MODIFIES THE ENTIRE ACTION of the preceding clause, and it APPLIES TOTHESUBJECT of that clause;
2. one of the following is true:
(1)the "ing" action is SIMULTANEOUS with, and SUBORDINATE to, themainaction;
-i ran down the sidewalk, flapping my arms wildly
(2)the "ing" action is a DIRECTAND IMMEDIATE CONSEQUENCE of themainaction.
-i got a 100 on the most recent exam, bringing my average up to 91
该句子中 crime 并不是 leading to a rise in properly values 的agent ，所以这个句子怎么理解呢？还请大神帮忙指教一下，多谢！

Ron漏講了，邏輯主語不一定要是前句主詞，可以是整件事的。

樓主可以思考句尾分詞結構的兩種還原前的形式：
S+V+O, and S+V+O 或
S+V+O, which V+O

分詞結構是從這兩種變化而來的。

大神能稍微展开一下如下两种形式么。没有特别看懂。
S+V+O, and S+V+O 或
S+V+O, which V+O

我觉得关键的点在于：
对于主句+Ving modifier,这种结构，如果当ving modifier是主句动作产生的结果的时候，那么ving 的主语是否需要跟主句主语保持一致呢？
通常我感觉看到的案例都是保持一致的，但这个Manhattan 上面的句子并不是保持一致，所以比较疑惑，多谢！

「被修飾的動作的發出者」（如果是主句動作，則是主詞），或者「被修飾的動作整件事」，都可以當邏輯主語。
只要有一個兜起來合理就行。不會強制一定要去抓主句主語。

比如這個GMAT官方正確句（用官方正確句驗證會比曼哈頓自造的句子更有價值）：

The country's currency, weakened both by concern about the government's agreement with the International Monetary Fund and by growing fears of a rise in inflation, continued its slide to a record low against the dollar, forcing the central bank to intervene for the fourth time in a week.

語意關係是因果關係對吧？但這裡很明顯看得出來在語義上不是currency force...，
而是"currency continued its slide..."整件事情force bank to...。

至於前面提到的：
「S+V+O, and S+V+O」或「S+V+O, which V+O」，

係指標準英文的句尾分詞結構是由以上這兩種原結構
1. 省略相同主詞並 2. 去掉and/which 3. 動詞改成分詞變化而來。

第一個原結構暗示了邏輯主語可以是被省略的前方相同主詞。
第二個原結構則是我們日常英文中的習慣「which」可以拿來指代整個句子，所以化成分詞後邏輯主語也是指向整個句子。有趣的是：GMAC禁止了which指代整件事，但變化後的分詞結構修飾整句的概念卻被允許保留。
