我的理解是应该是sth be based on sth.不能说sb. be based on sth. 过去分词based on的逻辑主语应该是主句的主语，所以scholars不能用based on修饰

此处based on是正确的，那我就很混淆了，此处的based on到底修饰前面主句的逻辑主语mochica还是修饰就近的the society

只有某理论，东西（比如上述说的社会）能被BASED ON，

人不能被BASED ON。但我也没有发现SB BASE STH ON STH这种用法。也没看到过BASING STH ON STH,SB DO....这种结构。

但我上的新东方老师说：句子+逗号+被动分词短语是“不好”的结构。这点也是比较模糊的。。
