1. The average weekly wage nearly doubled in the 1970’s, rising from $114 to $220, yet the average worker ended the decade with a decrease in what their pay may buy.

(B) with what was a decrease in what they were able to buy

(C) having decreased that which they could buy

(D) decreasing in purchasing power（E）

(E) with a decrease in purchasing power

我的问题是

1。OG（旧的）说

D misrepresents the intended meaning by saying that at the end of the decade, the average worker—not the money—was decreasing in purchasing power.

也就是说decreasing修饰的是worker,那么E中的with结构就没有可能修饰worker了吗

2。是money而不能是人decreasing in purchasing power（好像是不对，但不问不甘心

大家是怎么看的呢

没有看OG的解释, ABC的代词有问题, 排除; decreasing是个分词做为后置定语, 但是句意要求这里出现一个可以作为状语的结构, 只能是with才有这个功能了, 虽然可能有歧义, 但毕竟没有更好的选择了.

end.... with....是什麼意思?合邏輯嗎?
