OG解释的是事2次harvest的比较，为什么不能是rice production of the 1979 harvest 和those of the 1978 harvest的比较了？
难道是因为这个的those 不能代指rice production这样的单数吗

E fewer than that of India’s 1978 harvest 这里里错在fewer，要是这里的fewer改为less的话，E项会不会正确了？

另外我不明白为什么是2次harvest的比较，老是感觉是2次rice production的比较也可以啊。我开始就选的原句

首先those在这里指代的一定只能是tons而不可能是rice prouduction~~(LZ说的是对的，因为those是复数，而production是单数)，而比较吨数的时候应该是fewer~
另外，这里rive production 就是harvest，LZ想问的是为什么不是比较tons吧~因为单纯比较吨数是没有意义的，只有比较什么什么的吨数才是有意义的~~

1. "those" refer to "tons" not "rice production".
even if you change "those" to "that",A should be "less than that of the 1978 harvest"(=less than the rice production of the 1978 harvest),"harvest" have the same meaning as producrtion . so, it will be a redundent.

2.E- even if change "fewer" to "less", it also has two problems. the first is the same as the above one "that of". the second is that "of N's" is a wrong expression.

这里的比较是Prodution和其同义词Harvest.
