Even though your major is different from finance, but the research and analysis skills are transferrable. You have a solid college education in engineering and science. For MFE programs, you are the candidate they are majorly looking for. These are all your highlights. But also, you have obvious disadvantages. You GPA and GMAT scores are not very competitive. The timeline is very tight for you as well. This means you need to be VERY reasonable and clear in you essays and personal statements to clarify your career goals and highlight your strengths.
Since most of the MFE programs need GRE score, I think you should focus more on MSF programs. Do more research on Brandeis, Leigh, CWRU, or Syracuse. Prepared well, you also have chances for Purdue, University of Maryland, or George Washington University.
