我觉得between 有修饰dollar的歧义啊就是dollar实在1979和1981间的

关于介词修饰，什么时候是修饰v的什么时候是修饰就近名词的怎么判断呢？？？

your understanding is imprecise

if you want to say between 1979 and 1981 is to modify dollar

you should get dollar of 1979 and 1981

also, the key issue for tackling with this question is the pronoun it in the non-underlined portion ( BCDE all out because of this issue)

if you are not 100% percent sure about the modifier split

just go for another

a split that you are not sure should not be used unless there is no other splits available
