It is popular wisdom that our behavior is greatly influenced by the forces from outside. After all, our environment is exerting profound influence on the way we work, live, play and study. However, when it comes to the most influential way of determine our behavior; I suspect the directness and effectiveness. Moreover, I would like to allocate several other approaches as important as in my perspective.

In the beginning, we are all connected in a forever exist social net. No one can live separately and do not depend on others. It's not difficult to imagine that this net is forging our thinking and doings since we were born. For example, when we were children, our parents taught us what's right and what's wrong; what's good and what's evil, what should to do and what should not. All these became our character and largely determined what we choose to do in the following stages of our lives. When we went to school, the teachers taught us when to study history and how to solve math’s problems. When we graduated, the society reminds us it's time to work and take the responsibility as an adult.

All in all, it's standard practice for us to follow some rules from outside. However, the author goes too far to claim that our behaviors are largely determined by the forces not of our own making. In fact , a child grown up from the time he has not only freedom to do right things but also enjoy the freedom to do wrong things--if only he would like to and the action won't hurt any one else.

And one of the main distinctions between people is in the ability they analysis their own situation and make decisions to make use of all he has for his best. Just consider Steve Jobs, he dropped out of school to take the classes he really interested in, and from these classes he developed the brilliant writing style in Apple which helped the computer won the leading position in the IT world. While he was doing this, most of his peers were taking regular classes, dating and drinking--just like most teenagers do. Or consider Li Yanhong, the founder and CEO of the most powerful engineer search Baidu in China, quitted a handsome salary offered by an international company and built up Baidu under unimaginable difficulties. He can choose to accept the offer and lead an easy life, but he chose to experience the more difficult but more glory one.

The vital judgment, in my opinion, should based on a case-by-case analysis. After all, follow the outside forces or the inside voice is subjective. Generally speaking, as we grow up, we have more opportunities to explore the world on our own ways. Further more, people the world over benefits from the advancement of the technology and society as a whole. Because the abundance of materials secure us to go further with no need to worry about living conditions while the social environment is more friendly.

If we can find a way both generate security and meet the desire of success and interesting, we would have found a way to reduce debate on this issue. This task is open-ended, it will never be finished. But a conscious effort will definitely be helpful.

when to study history?
And one of the开头就有and,貌似不合理。
decisions to make use of all he has for his best?maybe “with all his efforts” is more suitable.
he really interested in??
helped the computer won ??
While he was doing this, most of his peers were taking regular classes, dating and drinking--just like most teenagers do.这句话你想说明啥?

从结构和内容上看,你的倒数第二段感觉比较突兀的样子,跟前面衔接不大或者说不紧。结尾段也显得力道不够,你没有突出你自己的立场。
