002 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
It usually has been said that " arents are the best teachers." In the view of mine teachers may not be the best teachers for their children.
First of all, maybe the parents know clear about the knowledge of some specific parts, but they still have some limitation in education. For example, my parents' major is Chinese, even they can be the experts of the Chinese’s learning they cannot do well in other aspects, such as physics and mathematics so they cannot be the best teachers for me. Children can learn some primary knowledge from their parents but still have some shortage in their education.
Another reason that I do not agree with the statement is that parents also make some mistakes. As a child, we learned step by step followed with our parents. It is acknowledge that, if our parents always show the wonderful personality such as acceptance and honest to us, we will build our characteristic and shape our life-style by the sample of the positive influence. On the contrary, if some parents cannot practice the wonderful personality by themselves to be the positive sample, it would render a even more negative impact on their children.
It cannot deny that parents have teach us so many things such as how to live a better life or how to get the things we want, the support us from many aspects not for any returning. But all of this is not enough to say they are the best teachers for children.
I usually regard parents as the best friend of their children, but not the best teachers. Parents devote their life for their offspring, they always accompany with children and do care about them, but they cannot supply the best education just by their own, that is why I disagree with the statement has said. |
