[求助] U-Chicago interview request

To those who are applying to Round 2 (Jan. 7 deadline) at U-Chicag

Its instruction said that we must request interview by Dec. 10. Does it mean the interview must be completed by then? I'm trying to do it in January and am wondering it that's possible.

I GUESS that you should schedule the interview by Dec 10, and the interview will be conducted after Dec 10, however, it doesn't matter if the interview would be done a little bit off the R2 deadline since the adcom understands that given that there are so many applicants and rec letters always come in late, many applications could not be completed exactly by the deadline. However, the earlier, the better.

进了申请网页, 就会发现,一旦你要求安排面试,其实是有权力选择面试的时间范围的, 但是这个预约申请是一定要在10号前提交的,要不就没机会了,我想.

你可以申请去预约面试，只是一般不会都安排，这主要是针对美国本土的学生而言。

对国际学生，一般是初审合格，才发出面试通知。

我已经试过Request chicago 的面试,但是好像大陆找不到Alumni. 给学校发了一封邮件,他们回复说可以waive 掉我的interview, 并承诺不会对application 有影响.交了Applcation 后,他们可能会再安排面试.

其实大陆的ALUMNI很多的啊，尤其是上海，估计这个预约也是个没有权力的权力

There are lots of Chicago GSB alums in Shanghai, but maybe only few of them have agreed to conduct interviews. Anyway, it's not a make-or-break element in your application (my personal opinion). It's your essays that make you stand out.
