这个今天刚总结了：
我的理解是due to的话会使得产生一种错觉即 moisture导致了cleaning and repair ；这样的话没有讲清楚为什么会cleaning and repair ，其实实际逻辑是moisture导致 raised its humidity to such levels so that salt from the stone was crystallizing and fungus was growing on the walls间接导致了cleaning and repair 。
