在这点上我有疑问：我觉得because she was就够了，用had become 感觉有点过了，我的意思是过分强调完成时态了。虽然，我知道语法上肯定对，但是就是觉得had become在这里很heavy。个人意见。

如果有F選項把A中的had become改成became, then it's a close game. But I doubt that we will see something like that ;-)

join是动词呀，与was..., and was.....平行？
