记得讨论过rain check，当作北美的一个背景资料。

rain check是“延期, 留作下次继续用的票根”的意思，是日常生活中常碰到的一个词。比如商店买东西，一旦缺货了，顾客可以向店家要一个rain check，可以到下次到货的时候以现时的价格买，不管当时是否涨价。所以商店减价时，常说“no rain check”，也就是卖完为止的意思。

这个还是对场景的理解，不用考虑的那么复杂。而且对话发展不会变化的那么快。

简单说来，就是男的是在表示理解之意。tell有分辨的意思。
