第二题的答案说appear用现在时是为了和后面的indicates平行，后面按照逻辑意思N人已经不存在所以用过去时，如果按照这个理论，相对应的第一题就应该选B啊为什么选D呢？如果说B是因为immune from是豁免的意思所以不对，那么把from改成to 是不是就对了呢？

对于73，我觉得过去有个帖子http://forum.chasedream.com/GMAT_SC/thread-511460-1-1.html?SearchText=og12 73中，5楼的分析比较合理
对于8，直接从时态看，我也不觉得要用过去完成时，但是，这里应该不是 appear to 结构，而是 appear + adj. 而immune 后接 to,对什么免疫，而不是 from, 这样排除AB，C中appear as 不对，意思重复，剩下来只有两个过去完成时了，E的表达wordy, 不简洁。留下D。
如果非要解释，我能想到的就是，后面那句we have now realized，表示我们realized这个动作过去发生，到现在还有影响，而appear immune是在这个已发生动作之前，因为现在已经知道不immune了。所以过去的过去,用past perfect.
这是我的思路，请nn们正解。

Idiom：
immune to 排除A、B (此处应为不受影响的意思）
appear as + Noun(show up as) Imperfections APPEAR AS tiny cracks. 排除C（后面应该加NOUN）
appear adj.(seem) He APPEARS CONDUSED.
appear to have been The dinosaurs APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN relatively smart.
it appear that...were(此处的it为placeholder) IT APPEARS THAT THE dinosaurs WERE smart.

Pronoun：
排除A、E（第一个it为Placeholder,第二个it为Ozone）

Tense：
we have now realized, though, that emissions of industrial choloroflurocarbons DEPLETE the ozone layer. (表示现在是有影响的）
如果采用it has long appeared...(表示现在仍是无影响的)
这样前后就矛盾了，故，排除A、B、C（做题时没见到过去时，我是直接排除D、E的）

immune to:
