hey there, your profile looks very good indeed. It’s great that you are already in PE. Because these are really highly sought after positions, so if you have them going in, it sounds very good. Obviously, your GMAT is just killer! So no worries there.
And I also totally agree with your plan of going only for top schools. For someone in your position and salary, the added benefit of going to a second tier school is not so great; so just stick to your plan of Top 10. Honestly for PE, ANY school is good in the Top 10.
The West Coast is full of great tech opportunities for folks in PE, and the East is full of pure Finance, and even in the middle, good general management programs like Kellogg can get you where you want to go. Schools like HBS and Stanford may be hard for everyone who applies, cause all the candidates are super strong, but with your industry and numbers you have a shot. Now, you just have to get them with those essays!
