“Besides” 用法是否正确，字典上好像没有这种用法

最后一题倍数比较的固定表达。

A is 3times longer than B=

A is 3times that of B=

A is 3times longer than that of B

by the way, the comparision form should be "more dense" instead of denser.

第一题没得说，be unique to

第二题,没话可说,中学就应该学过besides和except for的区别，怎么会没有这种用法，换本字典吧

第三题，倍数直接接名词，例如double size，than 前边必须有比较级

besides+ complete sentence, used as a prep.

besides + n. 也有这种用法

besides + fought for something, 好像没这种用法

1. unique to 没错.

2. BESIDES 该成 AND. BESIDES有二个词性: 副词和介词(EXCEPT). 介词怎么能接句子???? 另外, INCREASED 表示一种状态/结果. 增加后的工资没问题啊. 反而用INCREASING是错的

3. 第三个问题就更茄子了吧. OVER=MORE THAN 还哪里还有比较啊. 比较只有形容词和副词的比较. OEN HUNDRED TIMES THAT OF .....是标准的倍数表达方式. THAT 表示泛指前面的DENSITY

如果照楼上讲的，increased 为状态，增加后的工资，意思不对啊，如果已经增加了，为什么还要fight for呢，如为increasing，则表示为增加工资而战

beside这题可能涉及省略，但是我想一定是改成increasing，一来符合固定用法，二来同楼上littleneng所说。GMAT考过这个。

besides,in this sentence is adv., it means also or in addition, 修饰verb,fought for.
