关于b选项有个问题。b不是一个主系表结构的句子吗，既然是主系表的句子为什么还要补出are呢？求高人解答

亲，个人理解，记忆有点模糊，建议你去看prep08上有more than的比较分析~~
我先说一下你这个：

小菜觉得，补出are是为了确认是主语和主语的比较~
这里因为表语相同，都是在“acquiring carbon”，所以表语可以不补出~

如果按照B，那么就变成了表语和表语的比较~
就好像：i eat apple faster than you~（我吃苹果比吃你快）
i eat apple faster than you eat~（我吃苹果比你吃苹果快）
不知道这么说你明白了没有~~~
