关于possibly的用法

In some species of cricket, the number of chirps per minute used by the male to attract females rises and falls in accordance with the surrounding temperature, in fact possibly serving as an approximate thermometer.
这个是个错句。是possibly的用法错误。可是possibly 的正确的用法是什么样才对呢。

这个的用法是正确的。
