选A还是C呢？答案是A，但是感觉是C和句首的In no other historical sighting才具有可比性~不知道理解有没有什么偏差，求指教

前面的 in no other historical sighting只是作为一个副词的功能，和comet's return 没有关系。

这个是OG138原题,OG里面的解释翻一下是：这个句子的是两个描述时间（彗星被看到的时间）的副词的比较：in no other historical sighting 和 in its return of 1910-1911这个之间的比较，要平行。D，A中出现的did 和had 破坏了平行结构，造成了comet itself 和comet's直接比较的假象
