B. but前半句属于sentence fragment.
D. that was不简洁, extracting mineral 不如名词形式 mineral extraction.
E. 时态错误，没有必要用过去完成时.

as early as eighteenth century是个形容词短语，中心词是early, 不是表示时间的状语，为什么要介词？

既然as early as eighteenth century是个形容词短语，那么修饰谁呢？如果是method的后置形容词短语的话，还原成“as early as eighteenth century method”好像不太通顺。继续请教。谢谢
