A就是对的，我能理解。就是忽然忘了这个A选项中the economy might not be as weak as some analysts previously thought是省略了哪部分呀？忽然就晕了，读着特别顺，分析一下就分析不清楚了。。

这好像是固定用法，没有省略的问题。摘抄一下superbat版主关于这里的总结：than usual/ ever before/

previously expected/previously estimated/anticipated…等

注意：这些词，并不要求比较对象前后的平行，并不需要第一个比较对象出现状语。
