请教几个语法点~~

1.A surge in new home sales and a drop in weekly unemployment clains suggest that the economy might not be as week as some analysts previously thought.这里比较的是什么呢？把economy和some analysts previously thought 比较？还是省略了些什么？

2.predict that......我在PREP上看到说只要有predict出现的地方，就不能用would，只能用will形式，却在GWD的解析上看到说，如果前面是predicted，后面就可以用would，到底应该是怎么回事呢？

3........, a group of new tropical birds that includes more than 230 species and is represented in every kind of habitat.所以这里我的理解就是，that一般是修饰它紧挨着的词的，但是这里要修饰的不是birds而应该是a group of tropical birds（所以它优先？)而且and连接的两部分必须要平行，所以它们应该修饰同一部分，所以单复数也要一致。那么is 前面如果加上一个that也应该是语法上允许的吧？

我觉得第一个：应该是 might not be as weak as (what) some analysts previously thought.
