why this question chooses E, not A?

the sale of government surplus machinery will begin at 9am and continue until the supply lasts.

A. will begin at 9am and continue until the supply lasts

E. will begin at 9am and continue as long as the supply lasts

我是这样理解的，untill....(直到什么时候），这应当是个点时间，比如说所有的货物都卖出，而until the supply lasts中的last 是一种保持的状态，所以用untill显然不合适
