这道题答案及讲解的我并不疑惑，但是我认为还有个OG没有说的错误：C中where的指代（它总不能只带mammals吧，否则语义说不清啊）。后翻了下一本巨厚的书《大学英语语法》（徐广联编的）专门查看了下关系副词where引导的定语从句的知识点总结如下：
除地点名此外，在casea、point、condition、situation、job等表示“情况，方面”等名词的后面也可接where从句，这种用法中的where相当于under/from which意味“在这种情况下，从...中”
如：There are some cases where this rule does not hold good.
      I will show you the point where you fail. e.t.c
其他情况下名词后面一般不接where(这句是我自己得出的结论，有待牛人推翻)
