B中的if语气和A中所表达的as when语气不一致，而且as when语气本身没有问题。

如果as做介词，解释为“作为...",句意无法理解

如果as做连词，显然不能解释为“当。。。”，不然与when重复

如果解释为“和。。。一样”，“像。。。”，感觉前后意思又没有可比性，而且也不知省略了啥。

television can be superficial形成对照，这里面把as后面的内容看成前面的举例更合适一点。

首先，原文是将as后的内容作为television can be superficial的例子，这点复合逻辑，C将其改成了if条件句。

其次，即使用if条件句，这里用法也不对，对现在的假设，条件要用要用过去时，主句用虚拟，或者OG中经常出现的

If X happens, Y will happen.当然还有一种情况，就是前后都是一般现在时，表示客观事实的存在。

新东方里as when就相当于when,不知这样的理解大家同意否？
